Nice list dude, definitely the most important point at number one too!

I don’t understand why people go out of their way to type and spell so incorrectly. Some people shorten the odd word, which I can tolerate if I know and like them

It seems to me that young people of a certain culture seem to think that typing in the way @Magua demonstrated is actually cool. *shakes head*

@Sam, totally with you on the “can’t”, “carnt” situation too.

I also hate it when numbers are used, such as, “I need to str8en my hair”

@Sam – I blame the combination of blind stupidity and the British accent. I bet if we said that word the way Americans say it, we wouldn’t see that half as much.

Looking at the TwitPic, you’ve found one of my top pet hates, changing the spelling of “can’t” to “carnt”. It makes no sense whatsoever!

It’s a shame that we all spend so much time in school learning how to write properly and in such a short period of time people have unlearned it.

…And in the time it took me to write that, i could have gone downstairs, grabbed a coffee and come back up. That is harder to do than it looks; An utter waste of time and makes the author eligible for a good physical beating!

Here here! A very well put together list; I actually think I agree with all of it. The “Text speak” point needs making again and again; the amount that this pisses me off is phenomenal! Just don’t!
