I agree with all of you that Christians should not push their beliefs on anyone. People who do that don’t really understand what being a Christian is about, which creates a negative impact, and as a Christian, only makes it more difficult to openly discuss Christianity without others having a bias against it. I believe people should have choice, which is why I discuss my beliefs when asked, or when the discussion is raised. It should be a clue to Christians that Jesus never shouted at or insulted people without reason, but spoke to them when they gathered around him instead.

I have to say it slightly winds me up when they use the term “save”. I know many of them don’t mean it that way but it still has connotations of a kind of smug, self-righteous superiority and as such rubs me up the wrong way.

This video makes me sick. I highly doubt it is a joke, there are plenty of these preaching fuckwits out there. Just yesterday I was walking down the street and some guy offered to “save me by accepting Jesus into my heart”, I shook my head and carried on walking with him shouting after me.

One of these days I’m going to turn around and start asking them if they want to be “saved from wasting their life by the power of free, intelligent thinking”. Not because I want them to stop believing but because I want them to at least understand how ignorant they are being by pushing their view upon others. How much do you want to bet they would get angry and carry on doing what they are doing? Just like everyone they try to “save”. I bet you they would be too stupid to realize the irony of the situation.

Damn straight! The way i see it; they’re kids, like 13 or 14 tops. They have a lot to learn about how to behave and I hope that the backlash to their video will teach them that this kind of intolerance and ignorance is wildly unacceptable.

I think the main word here is Respect- whether it relates to something as simple as someones taste in music to their taste in religion.
Where would the world be if no-one rested until everyone everyone else believed in/liked/listened to what they did.

@ Jason – When you look at it that way you’re probably right. I was thinking to myself “How did the indian girl end up talking to these backward oxygen theives?” But then I realised that she was probably a new student to their school or an exchange student.

@Jonny – I know what you mean but I think there are three main culprits; Christian Fundamentalists, Muslim Fundamentalists and, sadly Atheist Fundamentalists like Bill Maher and Pat Condell (Granted, they’re quite funny men but for Pete’s sake, chill with the religion based attacks! You are no better!)

Its not a joke. Look at them.. there is no irony, no sarcasm, nothing. They mean this.

The story appears to be as follows. Asian girl who has no friends is invited to some christian fundamentalists house to have her religious views dismissed and her ethnicity questioned..

This is just ignorance and a perfect example of why religion is a bad thing.

I watched this earlier on. The girl with the “normal” and Indian friends seems to be smiling pretty often just before the whole thing cuts.

I want to say it’s a joke, but I’m also suspect that it’s probably not.

I’m almost speechless! Why on Earth is this girl friends with these ignorant assholes?

I am also Atheist. My Dad’s side of the family are pretty strong Catholics but that was never put on me at all. We were left to make our own decisions on things. I can’t stand when people try and push their religious beliefs on others, and I hate to say this, but I’ve only ever witnessed Christians doing that. I hope that if this is a genuine video, that that girl never spoke to her ‘friends’ ever again.
