Silent Hill is amazing! I’m surprised so few people have watched it, around the time it came out I was going crazy for all things Silent Hill – I had all of the graphics novels, some film cells and all of the games. They’re still, to this day, some of my favourite games – particularly Silent Hill 2.

Event Horizon is just one big mind-f***, especially because I watched it when I was 7.

@Magua – So happy you like it! It’s hard to find people that have even seen that movie let alone ones who love it as much as me. As well as Mr. Shhhh the other character that was really interesting to watch, in a car crash sort of way was Critical Bill. As soon as he was introduced you just waited for him to fuck something up.

Falling down and silent hill…

The only one I’ve seen of these is Silent Hill. I think I’ll have to add them all to my list of films to watch when I eventually finish with IMDb’s top 250. I’ve seen 150 of the list as it stands at the moment, so the remaining 100 might take a while.

The mentioning of New Zealand in your review of Once Were Warriors reminded me of a film called Whale Rider that’s set in New Zealand also. It’s a good film that doesn’t seem to be particularly well known, but is certainly worth watching in my opinion.

‘Denver = Yes! Yes!! Yess!!!

One of the best and most gritty gangster movies of all time. This came to mind just the other day when i saw a clip of an assasination supposedly in Italy, point blank cctv footage of the killing. Although sad and also disturbing at how no emotional seemed to be felt by the killer as he walked off calmly, it reminded me so much of Mr. Shhh; A character i’ve only actually seen performed to this high standard since in No Country For Old Men. Both the hitmen are ruthless and very dangerous and it’s portrayal in ‘Denver is still one of the best.
I loved how dirty and intense it was when i watched it. That is one of the best movies of all time.

On a side note in the movie, why didn’t that guy that worked in the cinema make a run for it like the others?! He just hung around and waited for it. That’s just crazy talk!
